Short Term Smart Goal

My goal is choosing the right place for externship and getting accepted in time and place. To obtain this I will research 20 restaurants per week. Each week will have a theme or a topic. Some examples are: Mexican food, farm to table, molecular gastronomy, and many others.
I will be talking to my advisor once per week so he can help me narrow the list depending on what I am more interested in. After two months of weekly research I will have a list of a maximum of 20 restaurants. I will narrow the list to five after researching what are the chef’s opinion about food and his interests. To the final five will receive my resume and a letter informing I am a student at The Culinary Institute of America wanting to do my externship at their establishment.
The place that accepts me will be the one I am going to. This letters will be sent one month prior my externship, so I can have enough time to prepare myself. If two or more restaurants grant me the opportunity of working with them. I will choose one depending on what I am more interested in.
I am doing this intensive research to get to the right restaurant to work, because I want to obtain experience in the food industry that will allow my resume, my career, and my knowledge be better. I will start my research on February the first, therefor I have 3 months to do my 20 restaurant per week research. After that 1 month to narrow my options to 5. Send my resume. Get ready for externship, and have the best time of my life by doing what I love the most, cooking.
